About the Facility

A New Architecture for Energy Finance

The Green Finance and Investment Facility is a blended finance platform designed to mobilise private capital into Nigeria's distributed renewable energy sector at scale.

GFIF does not compete with existing capital sources. It functions as an integrated coordination platform, aggregating concessional debt, results-based grants, and guarantee instruments into a single, repeatable transaction architecture.

The result is a structure that makes distributed energy projects bankable for commercial lenders, scalable for developers, and accountable for public funders.
